Åhus Beachhandboll Festival kicks off Friday week 28, and ends Sunday, week 29. Every year we have many Swedish and foreign elite-teams who stay in Åhus during week 30 for training-camps and indoor-games.

Åhus Beachhandboll festival is the largest Beachhandball festival in Europe.
For the 15th year in a row all handball players are invited to attend Åhus Beachhandboll Festival in Sweden.
Since 2008 Åhus Beachhandboll Festival has been played on a brand new big beach.
The summer of 2012 it is estimated that we can expect to have approximately 1000-12000 teams, which means it will be up to ca 12000 participants to the beachhandball festival in Åhus.
Besides that there is approximately 1000 spectators who visit Åhus Beachhandboll Festival every day.
In total, we are counting approximately 50 000 visitors will be attending Åhus beachhandboll Festival 2012.
Now it isn’t just teams from south of Sweden who visit Åhus Beachhandboll Festival, there are also clubs from entire Sweden and even from other countries. Among those nations who have participated earlier in the Festival we find teams from Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Germany, Holland, Hungary, Serbia and Spain.
Just a walking distance from the festival you’ll find the old city of Åhus, with its genial boat harbour. A visit to Åhus is worth in the summer.
